Every camper has the freedom of choice to create their own amazing creative summer experience, with our help. Long Lake was founded in 1969 by Maestro David Katz to offer young musicians a creative oasis to follow your music dreams. Our 18 music faculty can teach almost any instrument and we have 3 dedicated vocal coaches. Each week we offer many evening performances for you to share your love of music with the camp. Friday is a performing arts night, Saturday is a Rock Concert, and Sunday is our chamber concert night. At the end of each session, you can star in our performing arts music festival both on stage and along the shore of Long Lake.
Long Lake’s musicians thrive because of the many ways you can develop your musicianship, like composing your own music, playing in the many orchestra pits, learning how to write your own songs, and recording them. Whether you’re here for classical, rock, or even looking to explore a jazz summer camp experience, there’s space for every style.
